mathuv
Hey guys, sorry for another post like this but im having a really hard time washing out my hookah.. i've tried everything, hot water, lemon juice and baking soda, beer, etc but none of those methods leave a completely "neutral' taste in the hookah. when i clean it, i get a taste of lemons with whatever it used to smell like before i washed it, it makes me want to puke. I had a mix with milk in it once and i think that's fucked it up.. any ideas on how i can clean it? im sorry about posting another thread like this... if all else fails i guess its time for a new hookah..i saw (/bought for my friend) some really nice hookahs the other day...around 27 inches at 23 euros with 250g of nakhla free. if only i wasnt broke and had 23 euros.. Then soak do it again and soak in water and white vinegar, rinse well, let dry in a breezy place for a few days. Thats what I did with mine. I had a party thatlasted for a weekend and every flavor was tried and the hookah got little rest. To say the least, after a week, it looked horrible. I cleaned it that way and it was back to A+ 100%. That should do the trick. Dont use beer or lemon or milk, that can add to the problem and also may contribute to the taste nd stick to it.
Reggaenerator
Try vinegar!
AKammenzind
Get some boiling hot water, some soap, and a bucket big enough to hold your stem in... Put the soap in the bottom of the bucket, some in the stem, and pour boiling water till the bucket is full. Give your hookah a good scrubbing clean, then let it sit in the water till the water is cool. If that doesn't do it... hell I don't know what will. Reggaenerator
Vinegar + water + cleaning brushes will do the trick. You can also get some special cleaner, but in my opinion- waste of money ...

It had a mix taste of lemon and the usual hookah smell.....so didn't quite solve my problems....Maybe it is time to go in search of white vinegar...-H&S

Kusk
What kind of hookah is it? If it's of shit quality, there might be rust. That's what happened to my first pipe...hopefully that won't be the case for you. If it is, start looking for a new one.

EternalSoil
i use all of the above +beer.i think beer works good and neutralises any tastes/smells and if it does leave any type of smell i dotn care... cause its beer...

When its real bad, I break out the lemon juice and let it soak.

ilikemyusername
heres a thought that comes to you from outside the box.charcoal is a natural deodorizer, so it seems to me like if you had any ql's you could light them, then dunk them in water, they will melt completely and then pour that into your hookahand let it sit and dry out naturally to give it time to work its magic. its worth a shot. if you dont have any qls then you could use the dust and crap pieces in the bottom of your naturals to deodorize it. it might just work. if that doesnt, baking soda might. cypherkk
muriatic acid.Carefull though its powerfull. Used to clean pools. and uh, rinse... well. Uhm... VERY WELL! But if that doesn't work well, I imagine nothing will. And you might want to use gloves.
